I’m going to vent again about the way things work in the Dominican Republic. You won’t believe the level of irresponsibility, unpunctuality, and lack of professionalism that I encounter every day.
People show up without notice to do a job, or they don’t show up at all. They don’t respect deadlines, contracts, or agreements. They make excuses, blame others, or simply disappear.
These are some of the things that you should be aware of if you’re planning to invest or do business in this country. But don’t get me wrong, I love living in this beautiful Caribbean paradise. It has many advantages and attractions that make it worth it. I just want to share my honest opinion and experience with you, so you can be prepared and avoid frustration.
