The connection options between Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic, continue to increase!

Recently Baleร ria announced that it will be connecting the ports of ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ผ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถฬ๐˜€ ๐˜† ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ฎ๐—ด๐˜‚ฬˆ๐—ฒ๐˜‡, with daily routes. The shipping company plans to invest US$100 million to launch this new shipping line, which includes the construction of port infrastructure in both Caribbean ports. โ›ด๏ธ

This new route is expected to start after the summer of 2024. Baleร ria Caribbean has been operating in the Caribbean since 2011, where it currently connects the U.S. port of Fort Lauderdale with the Bahamian islands of Grand Bahama and Bimini. This new service will be Baleร ria’s third route in the Caribbean and sixth internationally. ๐ŸŒŠ

The company will make this seven-hour crossing between the two West Indies islands with an eco-efficient vessel, which could become the first natural gas ferry in the Caribbean. ๐ŸŒด

Without a doubt, 2024 will be a big year for travel between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. ๐ŸŽ‰
